Watch: Poppy Gets Animated In New Video For “Flux”
Poppy took the heavy metal world by storm in 2020 with her breakout record I Disagree via Sumerian Records which would feature the Grammy-nominated track “Bloodmoney”. Now, the young singer/songwriter from Boston, Massachussetts appears to be doubling down on these efforts with a new record dropping September 24th entitled Flux and judging by the title track/video, she’s even further along than Babymetal in truly merging Britney Spears-esque pop music with nu-metalcore breakdowns.
The aforementioned video can be seen below and it sees Poppy walking through an animated garden not unlike Rick and Morty’s “The ABC’s of Beth” or even “The Old Man And The Seat”. With vibrant colors designed and animated by Robbie Shilstone, it’s safe to say Dorothy is very much not in Kansas anymore.
Poppy has recently announced a headlining tour which kicks off September 30th in the United States before ripping through Europe at the start of 2022. Get tour dates and pre-order the aforementioned record here.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
