English Dub Review: So I’m a Spider, So What? “Did Mother, Send These Annoying Puppet Spiders?”
Overview
With her mental link to the Mother-Spider, the protagonist Spider-Lady uses her Parallel Wills to launch a psychic attack. Things seem to be proceeding smoothly, but the lack of any struggle is unsettling, and turns out to be a clever trap set by Mother…
Our Take
This episode showed off some crazy sibling versus sibling battles. I suppose we know why last week looked shaky because this week’s episode was awesome! Spider-Lady flying around with her agile movements having to face the siblings that her mother sent after her.
Every moment got tense not knowing what crazy attack the spiders would use. That puppet spider was easily one of the big highlights as well as it was terrifying in terms of concept & design and moved so damn fast, Mother’s secret weapon is serious business. Hopefully, this new evolution can make fighting mother and the siblings somewhat easier. We’ve never seen Spider-Lady pushed this far before.
Compared to the previous episode, this excelled with the proper balance of action and suspense. I’m curious to see what the rest of the season will bring. Surprisingly, almost the whole episode had very little focus on the humans, but at the very least it was entertaining as hell as it left us with one hell of a cliffhanger.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
