English Dub Review: Combatants Will Be Dispatched! “To Be a Hero!”

Overview:

Snow lets Six and Alice leave as payback. They get a little hideout and start setting up their teleporter but it will take a month to become operational. When they learn of the impeding demon lord’s army however they decide to run. Only the princess visits them and asks them to bear witness to her soldier’s sacrifice. They ultimately decide to stay and evacuate the princess if the worst should happen.

Our Take:

Well… I’m a little disappointed not going to lie. I mean Snow just found out that Six and Alice were spies so I thought something was going to happen. What actually happened was she just… let them go. I mean she did owe them and got her old spot back anyways but still. Even the princess when she came to visit knew they were spies but asked for them to help. I guess they did enough for the people to not care? I know it might seem nitpicky but that just seemed a bit off to me.

Other than that though this episode offered some comedy cold. As long as you’re okay with some minor sexual harassment that is. To get evil points six ran around town finding women and just making his zipper come down without using his hands. The funniest part was when he came across someone who had some let’s say… “masochistic” tendencies and was into it. The whole time Six is like “Why am I not getting any evil points? Hey! Are you liking this?!” it was a definite highlight.

The Chosen One has gone missing and that seems really bad. At least it would be if the elite demon general Heine didn’t fear Six more than The Chosen One. Says a lot about her experiences with Six. He did booby trap her magic amulet with a mine and it blew up right in front of her so I understand why she dislikes him.

The battle begins in earnest next episode. What will happen to everyone in the group? I think we know Six is much nicer than anyone working for an evil organization should be but will he stay and help? I think so but I guess we will find out next time.
