Robert Smigel Teases Additional Episodes Of “Let’s Be Real”

Robert Smigel has confirmed that more episodes of Let’s Be Real could be on the way which seems to be an indicator that despite the weak overnight ratings the show must be doing really well on streaming outlets like Tubi and Hulu. No premiere dates just yet, but with a third Presidential debate up in the air and rival series Spitting Image already getting renewed for a second season, an appetite for a puppet political comedy seems to be somewhat rabid.

LET’S BE REAL is produced by Propagate in association with FOX Entertainment. Robert Smigel serves as writer and executive producer on the special. Ben Silverman, Howard Owens and Kevin Healy are executive producers on behalf of Propagate; Gerald-Brice Viret for Canal+; while Arnaud Renard and Matthieu Porte of Can’t Stop Media also executive-produce.  Rachael Field serves as a producer. Bruce Leddy directs the special. Puppet Heap created the puppets. LET’S BE REAL is based on the Canal+ format “Les Guignols.”
