Toonami Announces Back-To-Back Batman Movie Events
Timed to celebrate the upcoming DC Fan Dome streamed convention, sister brand Adult Swim’s Toonami is launching two weeks of animated movies inspired by Batman including Batman: Year One , Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, and Batman: Gotham Knight.
The late-night action toon block for Adult Swim recently announced the return of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures with new original dubbed episodes which are expected to continue this week and resume before the end of the month. The block also announced the crummy news of numerous original series like Blade Runner and Uzumaki being delayed until 2021, but programming exec Jason DeMarco the block is strong and has additional original series on the way.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
