No Season Three Yet, But “Harley Quinn” Headed To HBO MAX
Say what you want about Harley Quinn’s future, the series gets around just fine. Having television syndicated deals in the US, Canada, and as announced recently in an email campaign to subscribers, HBO MAX, the adult animated series has done a good job of going places. That said, as of now, we do not have official word of a third season, though that hasn’t given the producers any fewer ideas on what may come.
For starters, we can expect the new budding romance of Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy to remain a thing for the foreseeable future, this according to a recent interview with Syfy aka the linear network rights holder of DCU’s Harley Quinn. We’re also being teased a sort of musical episode down-the-road, but we need to see the third season renewal sooner, rather than later.
Regardless of renewal status, for DC Universe, one would have to view the standalone streaming service dead as a doorknob sooner, if not later. Already, HBO MAX has Doom Patrol, and rumors are abound about Young Justice heading to Cartoon Network. I’m sure the hold up is more logistics-based and less whether or not it’s going to happen. Harley Quinn has garnered a huge critical acclaim, HBO MAX would be dumb as nails not to move forward.
Synopsis:
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
