Rumor: An Alien Vs Predator Anime Film Was Produced For Netflix
Call me a son of a bitch, but I love the Alien vs Predator movies. The first one starred Sanaa Lathan nearly kissing a Predator and the sequel featured a hybrid Predalien that was well-constructed but poorly managed in it’s execution. That didn’t stop me from enjoying the hell out of both which makes this rumor that much more tantalizing and, if true, angry for it not to be released by now.
An Alien podcast called Perfect Organism whose sources have given light to an anime film adaptation of the Alien vs Predator franchise having been completed for Netflix ready to stream. The hold up? Probably the rights of the Alien vs Predator franchise being owned by the fine folks at Disney who I’m sure will take loving care of two aliens from violent “R”-rated films. Rumor has it already that Disney is developing an R-rated animated series for both Hulu and Netflix inspired by Aliens and Predator respectfully.
Our Take
I don’t like this source because if Netflix really had commissioned a project then there would be nothing that Disney could do about it to stop it from being streamed. Not to mention the last time there was an animated adaptation of the Aliens franchise, it was for IGN.com in early 2019 which was released just fine despite the purchase of 20th Century FOX being well underway for Disney.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
