This Is How The Prank Calls For “Crank Yankers” Are Made
Ever wonder how the voices behind those crazy Crank Yankers make those prank calls? Well, Comedy Central has a new featurette you might be interested in because it features the great David Alan Grier in a behind-the-scenes look on how it all goes down. Here he is calling some unsuspecting victim as the infamous Landalious “The Truth” Truefeld who is still trying to launch his post-football rap career.
Early 2019, Comedy Central ordered 20 episodes for the fifth season of Crank Yankers with ten premiering last year and ten more coming in 2020. Comedy Central has even launched a Crank Yankers channel on Pluto TV that you can watch here.
Synopsis:
Created by Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Carolla and Daniel Kellison, Crank Yankers makes all the crank phone calls you wish you’d made when you were a kid. Yankerville’s puppet citizens – voiced by celebrities and stand-up comedians – make real calls to real people, whether they like it or not.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
