“Rick and Morty” Comics To End On Oni Press Early 2020

I can’t believe it’s been five years of getting monthly editions of Rick and Morty comics. From one-offs, crossovers, and everything in between, the comics series has been the most consistent print adaptation of an adult animated series, especially since the cancellation of The Simpsons Comics last year. Welp, that all appears to be coming to a close, as March 2020 will be the final issue of Rick and Morty in print form according to Oni Press.

The comic book company who has had a tumultuous year or so that has resulted in the culmination of an absorption from Lion Forge, has a license with Rick and Morty that will expire in March of next year. As a result, this puts the rights for the comic book up in the air, though it’s unclear what the future will hold for the print adaptation of the series. Could the series return with DC Comics who shares the same parent company in Warner Media? Or could the publisher of the Dungeons & Dragons crossover, IDW, take a stab? Or will everyone just let this comic license go buy without a stab? It’s hard to say, but here’s a preview of the final issue.

The Rick Illuminati has set a universe destroying bomb. Can Rick and Morty stop it before it goes off? Probably not, y’all, because this is the last issue of the esteemed, beautiful, perfect Regular Series run for Rick and Morty! Part Five of the Five Part story: The Rickoning.
