It took 30 seasons for a Canadian Prime Minister to appear on The Simpsons. There have been countless US Presidents, an Australian PM, and other world leaders, but never a Canadian. That’s because no one would really get the joke.
There have been plenty of Canadian Prime Ministers that would have been hilariously caricatured, but it would only land above the 42nd parallel. Justin Trudeau is the only PM Canada has had that has real star power. With some gumption behind him, he could help lead the world in the right direction.
In the controversial “D’Oh Canada” episode from season thirty, the great white north finally reappeared on The Simpsons in quite some time. And, the Prime Minister got to have his face Simpson-ized, and even do some athletic manoeuvres while he was at it.
