English Dub Review: Miss Caretaker Sunohara-sou “Costumes, Penguins, Playing Big Sister”
Overview (Spoilers Below)
This week’s episode of Miss Caretaker, as you can guess by it’s title, really is three shorts just shoved together. The first third of the episode sees Aki and the girls trying on costumes and then partaking in karaoke. Next, we fuck around with penguins. And then the last third is the most profound of the shorts with Sumire wanting to try on Aki as her younger brother.
Our Take
Two-thirds of this week’s episode you can cut out because it really doesn’t go anywhere. The last third had a bit more to chew on as we got to see additional depth in character for both Sumire and Aki. While the moment is fleeting, it has enough on it to reward viewers for sitting through the majority of the silliness that had transpired beforehand.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
