Review: Our Cartoon President “Supreme Court”

More like Supreme Court-ing.

Overview (Spoilers Below)

Donald Trump fears that a Supreme Court Justice is going to unanimously agree to put Donald away for good for a litany of crimes so the President decides to invite the team to Mar-A-Lago in an attempt to schmooze them good so that they’ll rule in his favor. Unfortunately the 12th vote in the form of Brett Kavanaugh, is being baby sat by Eric Trump. Eric ends up losing Brett to a two day bender so now he’s gotta team with with Don Jr. to find the miserable bastard. They do just that and eventually bring him to the Supreme Court for a ruling but Eric has to put on a whole ‘nother act in order to make it through.

Our Take

This week’s episode features an interesting take on the unpopular Brett Kavanaugh selection and the inadequacy of Eric Trump ever being able to supervise children. The idea that any woman would see any of the Trumps good enough to procreate is mind-boggling, but here we are in a world that will ensure generations of Trumps.

In any event, newly christened as famous following his excellent sketch series on Netflix, Tim Robinson checks in as a Kermit-the-Frog sounding Judge Kavanaugh in a rather cliche premise that features all of the typical tropes expected of the set up, something bad happens during a babysitter visit, but everything kind of wraps up by the end. With Brett being an adult, the series can take certain liberties as it pertains to the type of abuse he can take, serving as a natural off-shoot of the main plot dealing with Trump trying to coerce the rest of the Supreme Court Justices that “he is not a crook”. Definitely the main plot of the episode was more fun even if it did feature an unsettling music video that I’ll have to drink away later.
