Bart’s House of Weirdness was released exclusively for DOS on January 1, 1992. The game features single-player Bart escaping from his house after being grounded by Homer and Marge. In single screen movement, Bart explores around town and ends up at an amusement park to face his archnemesis, Sideshow Bob. The game features many elements from the show, including a level composed in the Itchy & Scratchy Universe. Despite only being available on PC, reviews for Bart’s House of Weirdness were mostly positive. The arcade style gameplay was praised for being bounds ahead of other Simpsons console video games at the time.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
