Netflix Showcases First Half Of May 2019 Originals Lineup In New Sizzle Featuring Tuca & Bertie

Netflix has revealed a new sizzle reel for a bunch of original content to go along with some handy charts as to pretty much everything coming next month. The sizzle only goes into detail for the first half of the month, so we can probably expect another teaser that knocks out the other half. Chief among the premieres happening next month is Tuca & Bertie which is doing a world premiere stop at Tribeca Film Festival next week.

The series will star Tiffany Haddish (Legends of Chamberlain Heights) as the voice of Tuca, a cocky, care-free toucan, and Bertie voiced by Ali Wong (American Housewife), an anxious, daydreaming songbird. Both are 30-something year-old bird-women pals who live in the same apartment building. Other cast slated to be part of the series includes Nicole Byer, Richard E. Grant, John Early, Reggie Watts, Tig Notaro, Amber Ruffin, Jermaine Fowler, Tessa Thompson, plus Steve Yeun voicing the role of Bertie’s boyfriend. Lisa Hanawalt is the creator of the series and Shadowmachine is producing.
