We Remember Luke Perry The Voice Actor

We remember cool hand, Luke.

Actor Luke Perry has died. His death was announced on March 4, 2019, at Saint Joseph Medical Center Burbank in Burbank, California. Perry had a stroke on February 27 and died due to complications. He was 52.

Born Coy Luther Perry III, Luke Perry was best known for his role as Dylan McKay in Beverly Hills, 90210, in which he was adored as a teen idol in the early ’90s. Most recently, he came to be known as TV’s Frederick “Fred” Andrews, who is Archie’s father on the CW series Riverdale.

Perry was also noticeably involved with voiceover work. In 1993, during his teenage idol stint, Perry played himself in an episode of The Simpsons, “Krusty Gets Kancelled,” in which the actor is enlisted as Sideshow Bob’s replacement, Sideshow Perry, and gets shot out of a canon.

In 1994, he played the bizarre and crazy-eyed Napoleon Brie in the campy Biker Mice from Mars series that aired on Fox. Two years later, Perry voiced Sub-Zero on Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm – an animated series based on the video game series Mortal Kombat, produced by Threshold Entertainment and Film Roman, which aired on USA Network.

Perry also took on voiceover roles in Pepper Ann, in which he played a character named Stewart Waldinger, and in Clone High, where he played Ponce de León in the episode “Litter Kills – Literally”. Perry also appeared on Family Guy in “The Story on Page One,” where he sues Peter Griffin for calling him gay in a newspaper article. Most cool, Perry appeared on an episode of Johnny Bravo in “Luke Perry’s Guide to Love,” where he teaches the cartoon stud Johnny Bravo how to approach women.
