“Angels of Death”, An Animated Series Inspired By Warhammer 40k, Is In The Works

An officially licensed animated series entitled Angels of Death is in the works inspired by the popular table top game Warhammer 40k set to release next year on the official channel. According to the Warhammer 40k blog, ‘Angels of Death’, will follow the visceral exploits of a band of Blood Angels Space Marines as they face Mankind’s enemies, death and worse – the dreaded Black Rage. To ensure the story is suitably grimdark, we’ve called upon the talents of some of Black Library’s finest authors. Together, they’re forging an epic tale for the animators to realise.
Producers have teamed up with the guys who brought the very popular Helsreach fan film, based on the Black Library novel for the project, but other than a 2019 release no other information about a release date has been revealed.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
