Review: Nella the Princess Knight “The Unicorn Rescue”
This show sends a mixed message at a time when we’re supposed to be worrying about giving, not receiving.
Overview (Spoilers Below)
The season two premiere episode is, in fact, a prequel episode meant to explain some of the origins of Nella and Trinket’s friendship. Turns out, a dragon named Stella had even taken Trinket, without either the Dragon nor unicorn’s knowledge, in an attempt to spruce up her cave with the fashionable sleeping bag that Trinket was sleeping in. Fortunately, Nella is able to catch up to the dragon and retrieve Trinket without any serious damage occurring, and she even helps Stella in fixing up her cave a tad.
Our Take
The songs are not needed in any show whatsoever in a way to tell a story, they should instead be used to accentuate a story. But, the more alarming factoid that might only interest me is the fact that had Stella not been greedy, none of this would’ve happened. BUT, the producers don’t do a very good job of assuaging her future greed, only that she doesn’t have to steal to ascertain items in which to satiate her lust. The problem here is that a negative message could be delivered to kids that your dwelling is only welcoming if it has a bunch of expensive shit in it. In the case of Stella, she had high-end furniture and all sorts of diamonds and crystals dotted throughout the cave and really didn’t have to work hard for any of it, and even if she did, is quite the contrast to say a Buddhist way of teaching where material possessions aren’t important. Not a great message for pre-Thanksgiving which is supposed to be a holiday of giving, not indulgence.
Score
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
