Controversy Surrounds “Star Wars Resistance” As New Extended Preview Posts

Uh oh.

With Star Wars Resistance fast approaching…now would be a bad time for any hiccups to occur before the premiere. Welp, that didn’t happen as the voice of Princess Leia aka Rachel Butera is under fire for posting a video of her mocking Christine Blasey Ford while the latter was testifying before the Senate a past encounter with soon-to-be Supreme Court Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Rachel quickly posted an apology and then pretty much deleted her entire social life, but not before her comments made it to the web. James Gunn knows how it feels when Disney gets a hold of silly old Tweets, but as of now, no further action has been taken against the voice actor at this time.

In related news, Disney has posted a new extended sneak peek for the upcoming series premiere of Star Wars Resistance. In the new series, a daring pilot embarks upon a secret mission against the First Order… with a lot of help from his friends in Star Wars Resistance. Premiering Sunday, October 7 at 10pm ET/PT on Disney Channel.
