Quick Hits:”F is for Family” Release Window ; “Animals” on HBO Rumored Guest Star

Slight updates on two big premieres happening this year.

The producers of F is for Family is hard at work on the third season and we’re now hearing that the release window will be for right around November of 2018 with 10 episodes currently in production for Netflix that will also feature new cast members along with their award-winning trio of Allison Janney, Sam Rockwell, and Laura Dern to go along with probably the funniest stand-up comedian on stage right now that being Bill Burr.

The interesting thing about THIS announcement is that one has to wonder when the hell new seasons of BoJack Horseman and Big Mouth are going to premiere this year? It’s possible one or both get pushed to 2019 as the Netflix streaming service also has 30 anime on tap for the rest of 2018.

Set in the 1970s, this animated raunchy comedy is inspired by the life of stand-up comic Bill Burr, who is a co-creator and executive producer of the series. Burr also voices the character of Frank Murphy, a short-tempered veteran who lives in the suburbs with his wife, Sue (Laura Dern) and their three children. Frank, who works at an airport, has a penchant for shouting and profanity-filled rants. The series celebrates all things 1970s, including the lifestyle, the music, and all sorts of other nostalgic details.

Michael Sheen (Passengers ) is rumored to be a guest voice in the upcoming third season of Animals slated for premiere in the Fall of 2018. As of now, we don’t know WHO Mike will be voicing, but this is another strong name to add to the list of other strong names rumored to be part of Animals’ upcoming season.

HBO’s decidedly adult animated comedy series ventures into the nether regions of Earth’s least inhabitable environment, New York City, which is home to a motley crew of downtrodden creatures. Whether it’s lovelorn rats, gender-questioning pigeons or aging bedbugs in the midst of a midlife crisis, the awkward small talk, moral ambiguity and existential woes of non-human urbanites prove remarkably similar to those of humans. Created by Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano — who voice many of the characters — and produced by Jay and Mark Duplass (“Togetherness”), the series features such guest voiceover artists as Eric Andre, Jessica Chastain, Rob Corddry, Horatio Sanz, Molly Shannon, Ellie Kemper, Marc Maron, Wanda Sykes, Cobie Smulders and Jon Lovitz.
