English Dub Review: Garo: The Vanishing Line “Family”
Garo the family man?
Overview (Spoilers Below)
Garo, Gina, and Sophie stop off at yet another motel run by a Horror who has successfully possessed the manager so much that the poor guy has even neglected his wife and son. Eventually, the Horror kills its servant and Garo and Gina team up to kill the Horror who has now smashed the motel and left the wife and son with not even a pot to piss in. Gina fixes their memories so that they don’t know anything about the Horror and drive on to El Dorado.
Our Take
I’ll be honest, I was a bit let-down by the battle. It was literally two seconds and boom over. The build-up was pretty cool and this week’s episode did an excellent job of showcasing influences from Japanese horror movie classics. Even better, this was the first time I was actually invested in the B-characters, in this case, the ones that worked the motel. We now gotta wait a month for the final battle, so hopefully the time off will get us yearning for an epic final battle that will hopefully fulfill viewers who have stuck around for the long season.
SCORE
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
