Digital Adult Animation Continues To Serve Well Both Netflix and Hulu
Cartoons make tons of money.
Hulu has officially announced that it has 17 million subscribers and that the strength of the streaming service probably isn’t in the number of originals it has, but the fact that it has 75,000 TV episodes. The three biggest comedies for the service?
South Park, Family Guy, and Bob’s Burgers.
Yep, you still think Disney-FOX is gonna fuck with Family Guy or Bob’s Burgers? They won’t. All three shows have new seasons in production for the foreseeable future.
Hulu’s rival Netflix is also getting ready to make some gains with adult animation. The biggest streaming company in the world announced that it has teamed up with Debmar-Mercury to make BoJack Horseman available for syndicated television in the United States. Debar-Mercury has made its name in doing the same with South Park, selling the longest running animated series on Comedy Central to TV stations all over the United States. BoJack Horseman is looking to do the same.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
