Additional Details Release For “Trae The Truth” Animated Series Headed To 420tv
It’s coming sooner than you think.
Additional information has surfaced about the return of Trae the Truth, the animated digital series inspired by the eponymous rapper who in an interview with XXL says that 10 new episodes are coming this summer to the 420tv app. The ‘toon, follows the ‘hood hijinks of his friends, family and celebrity guests.
Produced by White Oak Music Group, Trae tha Truth follows Trae’s hilarious adventures as he dispenses his unique brand of (adult) comedy and wisdom to a clique of colorful insiders: Grey, Jay’ton, Boss, Purpa and Birdfeed. Trae voices his cartoon alter ego, joined by his influencer friends and fellow rappers. Celebrity guest voices include Snoop Dogg, Marlon Wayans, Riff Raff, Omar Epps and B-Real.
For those that don’t know, 420tv is a network that focuses on content as part of the cannabis culture. Already, the streaming TV service is getting ready to launch David Silverman’s Super Slackers and now Trae the Truth just adds another huge name to the upstart network’s list of up and coming content that is being formidable in the animated world before it launches Feb 22nd.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
