Review: Bunsen is a Beast “Beastie Besties” ; “By Hook or By Shnook”

“Beastie Besties”
Bunsen and Mikey find a way to make Amanda become their friend, which at first is cool, but it eventually gets terribad to the point that everyone gets thrown out of the hot new movie of the week. The guys figure it’s better to have Amanda as an enemy and they revert her back to her regular self.
“By Hook or By Shnook”
Bunsen and Mikey take part in a treasure hunt that destroys the town only to find out that Amanda set them up on what she thought was going to be a bogus chore, but the duo ends up striking gold and use it to get free food for life.
Our Take
Neither of these episodes was particularly good, but “Beastie Besties” was at least tolerable in its execution. I’m getting a tad bored with the characters and I feel like the producers are tasked with trying to put together a puzzle with only three pieces. Probably why this show didn’t get the second season pickup.
