English Dub Review: Star Blazers “Farewell to the Solar System”

Decent party, but little else.

Overview (Spoilers Below)

The Yamato throw a big party on the way out of the solar system, but before the crew departs for a while, they decide to say goodbye to their loved ones back on Earth. Most of the messages are rather mixed at best, but that doesn’t stop the party from getting out of hand the right way.

Our Take

Filler episode, but even the fillers are enough to gawk at the space scenery and take into account how killer the soundtrack is. We are starting to see some slight builds in relationships, but nothing really firmed up just yet. Also, the final scene makes for an exciting future arc that should keep us interested.
