English Dub Review: Garo: The Vanishing Line “Kidnap”

Who said there was supposed to be a reschedule this week?

Overview (Spoilers Below)

Sword and Sophie are continuing their journey but decide to stop off in a small Western town. While there, a vigilante group lead by Sheriff Alfil (who is actually a Horror sent to take Sophie to the King) attempt to subdue Sword thinking that he kidnapped Sophie. While Sword’s dealing with it as best he can as to not to hurt the civilians, a waitress named Natalia helps take Sophie along with Alfie, but the two only make it a few blocks before Sophie is able to crash the car. The Horror is revealed and we learn that he is working with Bishop on behalf of the King, but Garo shows up and destroys Alfil with the help of Gina who scares away Bishop. As he lives, Bishop tries to level the town, but Gina was able to make sure they weren’t in harm’s way. Everyone leaves and we’re off to the second to last episode.

Our Take

How bout that killer soundtrack to accompany the crazy fight scene? Even better,Garo’s escape from the town was actually kinda hilarious, featuring cowboys with bazookas and elderly women with miniguns, pretty hilarious stuff right there. This week’s episode helps progress what should be an epic battle for next week, and with Gina included in some sort of shenanigans. It looks like the finale could be a whopper.
