English Dub Review: New Game! “Ooh, I’m So Embarrassed”

You should be.

I almost threw this episode in the dumpster had it not been for Umiko saving it. Reason being, Aoba’s bitching and moaning about such little shit can get really irritating if you’re not careful. First, I would say, 10 minutes, is all that. Aoba bitching about her character design being animated and her ego being bruised by her coworkers’ jumping in to contribute and help make it better.

As mentioned, the MUCH better character to follow was Umika having to deal with Shizuku having to deal with last minute spec notes for Peco along with her checking out the progress on Nene’s game Nene Quest. This week’s episode had way more food than previous episodes with no less than like five or six lunches in the span of a few minutes.

Overall, this week’s episode wasn’t bad, but nothing truly revolutionary. Fortunately, Aoba didn’t do a load of damage, but if we were gonna get near 30 minutes of just her, I would’ve jumped off of a bridge.
