English Dub Review: My Hero Academia ” Midoriya and Shigaraki”

This week’s episode follows hero Midoriya in his internship where Midotiya, aka Deku, learns to use his quirk (or power) One For All. I enjoy watching Deku advance in proficiency as using One For All.

Meanwhile, there’s much more about hero killer Stain and the league of villains. Stain disagrees with the league, as they feel he concentrates on too small a stage. Moreover, it comes out the league of villains created a new entity which combines the DNA of various heroes. But bizarrely, their quirks are gelled. Although they carry increased strength and powers, these creatures are akin to zombies.

There’s also a focus on Tenya Iida as he seeks out hero killer Stain for revenge. Stain attacked Iida’s brother, leaving him hospitalized. The episode closes with an epic cliffhanger where Iida confronts Stain, while Deku rushes to fight villains after a surprise attack against Hosu city.

I like the continued maturation of the characters and plot. It’s neat watching the various heroes in their internships, though the focus is primarily on Deku and  Iida. Plus, learning more about the league of villains and their motives is fascinating.
