English Dub Review: KADO: The Right Answer “Tetrok”
Serious bumper.
KADO: The Right Answer episode “Nanoka” revealed a major twist: the Wam promised by Yaha-kui zaShunina (Jason Librecht) is in fact not a substance, but a specific shape and structure. However, physicist Shinawa Kanata (Tabitha Ray) is able to easily grasp the concept of the Wam. Kanata has a malleable mind and therefore can more simply handle the concept of the anisotropic world.
Yet Kōjirō Shindō (Ian Mead Moore) also understands Wam. It turns out that Shindō, when processed by the cube Kado, was integrated into the anisotropic. Shindō explains to zaShunina that in order to achieve greater acceptance from humanity, he needs to help solve problems that he’s created.
Therefore, Shindō suggests moving Kado to a different location. There’s a lot which goes into preparation: finding a suitable locale, devising a plan to move it, and government organization meetings to finalize the mission.
Shindō allows that he hasn’t had a day off or slept in several days. So he takes a day off and visits his mother where the two enjoy beer and grilled squid. This is a touching scene and one that lends more of a sense to Shindō and his person.
I really enjoy seeing Shindō visit his mother. While he’s typically working, this offers a fantastic sequence with a candid Shindō He even admits that zaShunina isn’t quite his friend, and moreover, reveals that he’s a bit skeptical about zaShunina’s statement that Kado won’t destroy anything when it moves.
It’s neat watching how Shindō brainstorms to solve various problems. Since the cube must maintain contact with the Earth, Shindō suggests that it move on a series of flips and stay on its edges. I like watching the cube make contact and move. Rather than simply migrate Kado, there’s a montage showing its journey.
Though it’s possible for anyone to make Wam, it’s difficult for anyone aside from Shindō and Kanata. I’m curious how this subplot evolves. Additionally, I’m keen to see how humanity will evolve. Lack of, and no need for sleep plague Shindō. This it seems, along with a greater understanding of Kado are in humanity’s future. “Tetrok” offers loads about zShunina’s plan, but the fallout and reaction could vary.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
