Henson’s “Happytime Murders” Nabs “Bridesmaid”
And it’s actually going to kick off production soon!

Actor-superstar Melissa McCarthy has officially boarded the R-rated puppet feature film Happytime Murders. Originally rumored to feature Jamie Foxx, Happytime Murders has been in development hell for the better part of the last half-decade even when STX Entertainment came on to co-produce with Henson Alternative, the adult-themed arm of the Henson Co.
The film, a buddy cop comedy featuring a puppet and a human looking to solve a crime involving a popular television show, is expected to go into production this August and is being directed by Brian Henson.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
