IFC Debuts “Quirks” Animated Series
It’s definitely quirky.
Streaming now on IFC.com as part of the network’s online hub, the Comedy Crib, we got ourselves a brand-new animated series entitled Quirks. Quirks is the story of three friends who get themselves into precarious situations, including babysitting a parakeet, surviving the cold and meeting a superhero. The series is produced entirely by Kevin Tosi.
According to the website, Kevin works as a copywriter for an ad agency which seems to be a popular career choice for up and coming animation producers TV shows like Animals, Night Sweats, and I’m sure others, featured creators that worked at ad agencies in similar capacities.
Hopefully this new series is IFC.com cracking open the door again for the potential of a new animated series to be not just on their website, but on TV. The network famously cancelled the critically acclaimed Out There several years ago.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
