Comics Review: Rick and Morty #20

A Holly Jolly issue to get you primed for the season of giving.

This month’s issue of Rick and Morty Comics features a tale about Morty wanting to make the basketball team so as to impress a girl. Rick helps Morty by making him drink an egg and Morty’s off to the races making varsity and nearly scoring. Unfortunately, his new found strength is by way of alien fetuses and momma makes chase. Thankfully, Rick has a cure and is able to cure Morty before any real harm happens (unless if you count the school being destroyed).

The next strip is called “Twas the Night Before Rickmas” and in it, Jerry eats Santa’s milk and cookies and faces repercussions from the man himself much to the delight of Rick.

Our Take

Can’t really ask for much better of an issue. First story was really funny with lots of witty one-liners and hilarious violence while the second strip gave us a better holiday story than what most of TV is giving us right now. Go buy it and stick it in a few stockings this season.
