This episode was 4 mins and 20 seconds long partially due to a promotional commercial at the beginning of the vid.

“Love Triangle”

Jaune tries to ask Weiss out on a “Study-Date” and Weiss turns him down in a typical “Rich-girl” manner.

As Jaune begins to feel down, Phyrra shows up behind him to cheer him up and offers to be his “Study-Partner” making all-too unsubtle her obvious attraction towards Jaune. But much like his unchibified counterpart, he obliviously fails to recognize this particular body language like he’s Archie Fucking Andrews!

Jaune decides to leave and Weiss out of nowhere appears and wants to be study partners with her for the purpose of how they’re both supposedly the “smartest & popular” of their school.

But much to Weiss’s disappointment, Phyrra politely says no which makes Weiss feel down and you can argue that this is a cycle “Karma” towards Weiss for the way She rudely & gleefully shot Jaune down.

Ren looks from a distance saying to himself “If only they can see what’s right infront of them” and Nora out of nowhere waves a large sign surrounded by pink hearts that says “Notice Me!” angrily at Ren for not noticing her.

As fun as it sort of was, I can do without watching Teenage Angsty Joss-Whedon drivel because I”ve seen & experienced enough of it growing up. I get this aspect is supposed to be relatable in the sense that in life we can achieve happiness but rarely the happiness we think we want.

If any of this sounds familiar to you, That’s because It’s every fucking piece of cliche highschool fiction ever made!

Comedy should be about escapism, not evoking trauma.

“Zwei Painting”

A figure-art class is going on with Ruby & Yang’s dog Zwei as the artistic template.

It shows members of Team RWBY & JNPR partaking in the class and how each of them approach it comedically with Weiss as the teacher/judge apparently.

Everyone shows Weiss their paintings and she privately gives each of them a score and is annoyed that Blake’s design of Zwei looks more like a cat.

Ren’s is competently made, but when Weiss get’s to Ruby she reveals her painting to be her dog’s butt.

Weiss looks away with disdain dropping her score-card and Ruby says “You don’t understand my vision!

Then says to Ren “It’s a butt” and Ren just bows to her.

“Makeover”

Nora offers to give Ren a “Makeover” and when says “ok” in a deadpan tone, He’s cartoonishy covered in a puff of pink smoke.

The pink smoke cartoonishly fades and it looks like she didn’t really change anything with Ren even pointing it out.

Nora says “Subtlety is the key” and Ren just shrugs it off only to reveal as he’s leaving the room that “R + N” are shaved on the back of his scalp with Nora winking at the camera.

This episode was released a week early for fans who showed up at the RTX 2016 event and from the audience who saw it they loved every minute of it but I felt this review wouldn’t be complete without my analysis, review structure of high quality screen captures, & gifs to accompany it.
