Comic Con: ‘Red Sonja’ Animated Feature Announced
Dynamite Entertainment isn’t just comics anymore.
I had a chance to stop over at the Dynamite Entertainment panel yesterday in support of the new Brickleberry Comics release, and wouldn’t you know it it was announced that another Dynamite Comics property is being developed into an animated feature, this one Red Sonja.
The 72-minute film is a collaboration between Shout! and Dynamite and it will feature Misty Lee (Ultimate Spider-Man) as the lead. The film is an adaptation of the Queen of the Plagues storyline and you can watch a motion-comic trailer below that should give you a bit of backstory of what we’re dealing with here.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
