Here’s two LGBTQ animated comedies you should know about

And yea, they are pretty damn funny.

McTucky Fried High, the comedic, animated web series about an ensemble of teen foods launches Season 2! Season 2 premieres TODAY, June 6, 2016, running for 7 episodes, with the season finale on July 18th, 2016. You can see the premiere on Fusion.net and link to the YouTube page.

McTucky Fried High stands out as one of the only LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning) animated cartoons to date. Season 2 uses humor to tackle current issues of transgender people and bathrooms, women in sports, “religious freedom”, systemic racism, and sexual health while foregrounding and affirming LGBTQ characters and experiences.

Creator, Director and Executive Producer Robert-Carnilius uses his own life, creative passions and community involvement as inspiration in hopes of generating an entertaining, insightful and humorous cartoon. The McTucky Fried High cast and crew are also comprised predominantly of LGBTQ people and people of color, going beyond visibility by using personal empowerment to shape and create media that has a personal, political and artistic impact.

Also dropping today is a trailer for an upcoming LGBTQ series called Squeers. In it, Squeers, a 2D animated hybrid series, takes a satirical but affectionate look at the lives and daily escapades of a creative duo; Neil and Artel, gay squirrels, in search of success, love and happiness.
