‘Imaginary Mary’ picked up to series by ABC: Gets Teaser
Hail Mary!

No word yet as to when the show will premiere, but ABC has officially put in a series order called Imaginary Mary. The series is being produced by The Goldbergs team of Adam F. Goldberg, David Guarascio and Happy Madison and it will be a blend of CGI and live-action with Jenna Elfman playing the live-action part, and Rachel Dratch doing VO work for the CGI character.Patrick Osborne will be producing the CGI character.
Imaginary Mary centers on Alice (Jenna Elfman), a fiercely independent career woman whose life is turned upside-down when she meets the love of her life – a divorced father with three kids. This triggers even more upheaval when the slightly unhinged imaginary friend she created as a child suddenly reappears to help her navigate the transition from single girl to a woman ready for a family.
Elfman stars alongside Stephen Schneider, Rachel Dratch as Mary (VO), Nicholas Coombe, Matreya Scarrwener and Erica Trembay.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
