Review: Wander Over Yonder “My Fair Hatey”
Spoilers Below
This week’s episode of Wander Over Yonder doesn’t have a whole much of recap. It’s more or less Hater getting an invite from Dominator, so he gets all excited and captures Wonder for some lessons on wooing her over. He concocts this big dance scene, but as it turns out, Dominator just wants Hater to surrender because all of the other bad guys have already. Hater declines, and both Sylvia and Peepers gets their stupid friend back, but not before everyone gives new powers to Dominator making her stronger than ever.
Our Take
The songs were ok, but for the most part the music sounded very generic which is surprising because Craig McCracken’s a very good songwriter. Lyrically, I guess we were ok, but overall I’m continuing to be bored by this arc. Dominator getting new powers could be interesting, but it doesn’t seem like we are gearing up for anything in the near future. Though may a question has arose in the form of, if Dominator has NO feelings for Hater, then why give him the option of surrender? Why not just take him over?? It’s a question that makes me grade this week’s higher than I should.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
