Review: Pickle and Peanut “Volcano”

PICKLE AND PEANUT LOGO

Spoilers Below

Pickle and Peanut keep hearing constant threats about a volcano, but the two are so oblivious to the warnings they just go about their day. After getting some peas from the freezer, everyone pretty much disappears leaving us in a post-apocalyptic terrain and Pickle and Peanut could NOT be more excited.

Eventually, we learn that Pickle and Peanut are NOT alone and that a Rat-King and his minions are here to mess shit up. The duo end up filling the hole blocking the Rat-King’s way home, but not before they hear about the volcano that’s about to explode. The three head back to the Mart and load up on frozen peas and drive in the volcano JUST as it’s about to melt the city.

Our Take

Boy, is this good show good. The Rat King quite possibly is my new favorite character in the show just because he’s nuts. The overall trip to the ending is hysterical even if the last scene is just maybe a bit over the top even for this show, but with no more Gravity Falls and Wander Over Yonder getting ready to say goodbye, this may be Disney’s most consistent animated comedy.
