Box Office Report 3/21/16: Anomalisa SOARS

David Thewlis voices Michael Stone in the animated stop-motion film, ANOMALISA

R-rated feature Anomalisa had a really great week at the box office as the Starburns-produced film has raked in almost another $1 million which brings the total so far to $4.2 million against an $8 million budget.

Anomalisa is a 2015 American stop-motion comedy-drama film directed and produced by Charlie Kaufman and Duke Johnson, and written by Kaufman based on his 2005 play of the same name. It was released on December 30, 2015 by Paramount Pictures.[4] The film follows a lonely self-help author (voiced by David Thewlis) who perceives everyone as identical (Tom Noonan) until he meets a unique woman (Jennifer Jason Leigh) in a Cincinnati hotel.
