Review: The Cyanide & Happiness Show “Too Many Superheroes”
Spoilers Below
Super Dad and Mega Mom use their new found powers to protect those from harm. Super Dad is dead, so he’s able to not fight crime and not die at the same time. Then there’s Mega Mom whom throws her baby into harm’s way so that she is able to hulk up and destroy criminals.
The Wonder Percent decides to take action against the corrupt one percenters. Very ,very, violent action.
A Narrator contemplates his purpose in life after quitting after The Wonder Percenter’s horrific kills. He hangs out with other voice over dudes that you can’t see. Later, he meets a gal.
A band of super heroes unite to end the fiery force of an evil super villain named The Arsenist. The team is quite large, but it’s a dude with a large toe that puts a stop to him.
Our Take
This week’s episode of C&H was definitely a little less sketch and a little more build up to a grand finale. All of the heroes were awesome, but I kinda wanted to see the Wonder Percent and The Arsonist go at it for a little while. Super Dad was sort of depressing, but still funny. Super hero parodies have become more common as of late, but few can do it the way this show does it due to censors and whatnot.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
