Review: Star Wars Rebels – “The Honorable Ones”
The Ghost crew is sent to Geonosis to investigate an Imperial project. When they get there, they find Geonosis abandoned. They go to check out the orbiting station, only to be ambushed by Kallus and a ton of Stormtroopers. Zeb gets separated from the rest of the group. He tells Hera to take off; he’ll use an escape pod to get off the station. Unfortunately, Kallus attacks Zeb as he’s getting into the pod and the two of them jettison off toward Geonosis. During their fight, they break the controls of the escape pod, pushing them off course. Instead of landing on the planet, they land on one of the icy moons.
The rest of the episode is Zeb and Kallus stranded on the moon together. While they don’t exactly solve all of their problems, they do come to understand each other a bit better and work together to get out of the ice cavern, where the escape pod landed. Oh, and they fight some strange armored bug-type thing. The Ghost picks up Zeb and the Empire retrieves Kallus. All is back to normal.
A lot of other shows have done the “enemies stuck together” cliche. This one was done fairly well. They did talk about the things that make them dislike each other. Zeb learned how Kallus got his bo-rifle and Kallus’ part in the Lasan massacre. Meanwhile, Kallus got to see why Zeb hates the Empire. It did look a little like Kallus was thinking about leaving the Empire at the end but I’m not sure that will actually happen. Now we just have to wait to see how this episode effects him. Will he be softer on the rebels? Will the other Imperial soldiers see the change in him? Will he be replaced with Darth Vader soon? It will definitely be interesting.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
