Review: Gravity Falls – Behind The Pines

Disney is working it’s way up to the finale of Gravity Falls with a look at the origins of the show and the characters. Alex Hirsch sat down with Time Baby to reveal where some characters came from and little tidbits about others.

While there were some bits of information that no one really knew about (some of the throwaway characters are named after boys Alex’s twin sister liked), a lot of the information was already known by fans of the show. It was nice to talk about the ins and outs but, overall, there wasn’t anything new revealed. If anything, the special wasn’t anything more than a chance for Alex to talk about his show before the final episode. Super fans may enjoy the chat but they probably won’t learn anything new. It’s the casual fans who don’t investigate every little detail of every episode that will enjoy the special. I’m sure they’ll get a few chuckles from the origins of the characters.
