Update: A new Interview from the RWBY Writers Miles Luna & Kerry Shawcross that takes place after the 3rd Season Finale and they talk about the future of the series.
From what I can gather on what I’ve seen in the Livestream, This is what I took away from it:
-RWBY has a “dead is dead policy” so Torchwick & Penny are confirmed dead for good. (However you’d think Penny would at least be back in some form because she’s a fucking robot!)
-Rooster Teeth seems to have RWBY have figured out 20 more seasons.
-The Pyrrha vs Penny fight scene was done mostly by Monty before his passing
-The Yang vs Mercury fight was done mostly by Monty before his passing
-The opening Scene was done partly by Monty before his passing
-Jen and Miles reactions to scenes and questions suggest Arkos in episode 12
-MurderofBirds youtube reaction vids confirmed a favorite of the production staff and VAs
-Japanese Merch in the store starting tomorow.
-The story thus far has literally been totally planned out by Monty
-Adam is “Edgy”, “Rapey” and “unstable”
-Adam and Blake had some sort of abusive relationship during her time with him long before the “Black Trailer”.
-Neo will return and “will do something that will make everyone hate her.”
-Miles does an epic Weiss impression
– Giving Ironwood robo abs is something that miles particularly likes.
– RWBY Vol.3 DVD & Blu-Ray Release Date is May 3rd.
-Velvet can only use her weapon in one burst before she needs to reset it
-Velvets weapon was conceptualized by Monty before his passing.
Update: According to some recent Tweets from Jen Brown after the season finale, (the voice of Pyrrha) The “Dead is Dead Policy” applies to her character as well.
They really had alot of time to answer these questions and recognized that fans would be scratching their heads if they didn’t answer them otherwise.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
