Spoilers Below

Mitchell introduces a new hall monitor with an eye that will mostly focus on Kirby Buckets. Enter, Gregory the robot. It isn’t long before the robot is so damn annoying that Eli and Belinda kidnap the robot and bring it to Kirby’s house. When Mitchell finds out, he opts to put a bounty out for his robot’s captors to the amount of $10,000 worth of Mitchell bucks. Worst yet, Mitchell wants everyone to look at Kirby’s house. Dawn gets close, but after Fish and Eli spill water over the robot it may not even matter because the robot has new instructions…take him to Mr. Spi-borg.

Meanwhile, Dawn wants Kirby to get in trouble so as to have to spend his Saturdays in detention. She eventually catches Kirby red-handed with Gregory and puts the call into Mitchell to claim the bounty. The robot fights back, and opts to go with the guys over to Spi-borg’s.

The guys head over and meet Gregory’s creator, a one-time employee of Mitchell whom soon follows with associates threatening to expel all students involved with the crime. Fortunately, Gregory comes to the rescue and Mitchell agrees to lift punishments, do his own hall monitoring, and let Gregory stay with his creator. Turns out, Kirby hasn’t been in THAT much trouble, and Mitchell is just lazy.

Our Take

The 2016 premiere of Kirby Buckets was very strong. The show is starting to show signs of life of its brilliance that was so evident in season one but we still have flaws. For example, Fish needs to shut the fuck up in every scene because he’s an annoyance, but Mitchell is such a great villain I can’t stand it. The scene featuring him singing like a hair metal guy was hilarious, and his constant threats to anyone that moves is great i.e. the hippie, Kirby, Dawn, etc.

It will be a couple of weeks before this show comes back, but if this episode is any indication, then 2016 Kirby Buckets could be legit.
