BUBBLE CAN Review: Night Sweats “Animals”
Last night on Night Sweats, the guys celebrated man’s best friend: dogs! Is there really a better animal out there to celebrate? All of humanity should just love dogs. Cats are nice and all, but after that study came out and said cats may be secretly plotting to kill their owners, I think we can give the edge to the canines. So, how was the episode overall? Read on to find out!
In “Animals” Chris and Bart bring a couple of dogs into the studio and incorporate them into their segments. More segments from Tuck & Ranger, City in Crisis, and Don’t Feed the Humans.
This was a great episode. Easily my favorite so far. My first exposure to the show wasn’t pleasant. I found it to be loud and incoherent. I’ll take loud and obnoxious any day of the week, just let me understand what you’re saying. That hasn’t been a problem these past two weeks. Things have simmered. There is still a lot of loud and crazy things going on, but at least I can understand it. A lot of it’s hilarious. The live action segments haven’t been my favorite part of the show thus far, but I think they were on par with the animated shorts this week. The dogs were a cute touch. While I think they’re still just throwing as much at the wall as possible and seeing what sticks, I think being able to understand what I’m watching allows more things to hit the mark.
Three of the four animated sketches were well done. Tuck & Ranger was hilarious, City in Crisis was pretty good, and Don’t Feed the Humans was meh. The second short with the barbarians was also pretty good. Tuck & Ranger stole the episode, I don’t think the others made me laugh as much as that one. It started with a prank, but escalated into much more. Seeing how it all unfolds is great.
Don’t Feed the Humans was my favorite short in the first episode of Night Sweats I saw. I thought the characters were all distinct and interesting, I thought the writing was awesome, and the situation they were in was really funny. Now I think Don’t Feed the Humans has slipped a bit.
Overall, this was a really fun episode. I laughed a lot, everything came across clearly and I think the dogs were an excellent touch. They sort of acted as the straight man in this episode. Chris and Bart would be acting absolutely insane and the dogs barely responding only highlighted the comedy of what they were doing. There is a fight with a robot in the episode. The special effects were the best part. That’s all I’ll say about that.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
