WB Animation promotes two
Deadline.com is reporting that WB Animation has promoted two. It’s been announced that operations chief Ed Adams has been promoted to SVP & General Manager. This isn’t that exciting, really Ed is just someone who does negotiations and other finance shit.
The way more interesting move is creative exec Jay Bastian to SVP, Series. THIS is cool because Jay is going to be going through a rather extensive WB Animation library that includes Hanna-Barbera, DC Entertainment, Looney Tunes, and MGM, and figure out which can be used for more television series, shortform content and feature-length projects for home entertainment. He’ll be working with writers and producers to formulate ideas for original programming; and overseeing on-going production and current programming matters related to existing shows.
I’m hoping this means TV returns of such properties like The Flintstones, The Jetsons, and a whole bunch more. Mike Tyson Mysteries is one of WB Animation’s and that returns this Sunday Night on Adult Swim, check your local listings.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
