Review: Be Cool, Scooby Doo “All Paws on Deck”
Spoilers Below
Scooby and crew head under the sea after getting reports of a monster that is attacking divers. Turns out, the van can turn into a submarine and as such takes the team to the sea floor where they come under attack from said monster confirming Velma’s worst fears.
The van gets destroyed, and Velma can’t swim, so the crew takes off in fear while the monster is in pursuit. As everyone heads back to the ship with the van in pieces, we start putting together the clues as to whom exactly the monsters are. The van gets fixed, and is sent down as bait to capture the monster, but we find out that there are actually TWO monsters down there. Fortunately, Velma catches them and it’s discovered that the underwater creatures are actually the divers from earlier.
Our Take
Another really good episode of Scooby-Doo. Daphne’s issues with the sea life was ridiculous, yet funny. And seeing just how terrified Velma was of the sea was a fascinating tale. Scooby Doo and Shaggy’s bit on eating everything on board was just typical Scoobs and Shags, and the constant gag of the grappling hook as being manned by both Fred and Velma was really well done. The montages are beginning to be my favorite part of the series because they are well directed, scored, and choreographed, and may be the best in the business so far. That’s saying a lot.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
