New ‘Resident Evil’ animated film in the works

ResidentEvilSeries

I have trouble figuring out which is worse, the Resident Evil live-action films or the live-action Transformers films. I’d like to think both are equally as shitty, but yet studios keep making both of them.

A much better idea is when an animated film for Resident Evil is produced, and that’s exactly what we can expect. According to Gamespot:

The new film is written by Makoto Fukami (Psycho-Pass) and directed by Takanori Tsujimoto (Hard Revenge Milly, Ultraman X). In addition, The Grudge creator Takashi Shimizu is attached as an executive producer for the computer-generated film. Capcom’s Hiroyuki Kobayashi, who also produces the live-action Resident Evil movies, is on-board as an executive supervisor.

Pardon me if I’m not crazy excited. As much as I love the gaming franchise for Resident Evil, The Grudge was an awful movie as are the aforementioned live-action Resident Evil movies, so now we’ve got a shit-storm headed our way that is completely computer-generated and set for release in 2017.
