Cartoon Network takes back prime-time for “Hallo-WEEK”
For a long time now, its been Adult Swim taking over the 8 and 9 o’clock hours usually with reruns of King of the Hill, but this week that all changes as Cartoon Network takes back its prime time slots of yesteryear with a bevy of marathons and a brand-new chapter of Regular Show’s “Terror Tales of the Park V”.
The aforementioned Regular Show special will premiere this Thursday @ 8 pm ET/PT (check your local listings), plus starting tonight you will get to see nightly blocks of Over the Garden Wall starting at 8 pm ET/PT. And if you’re like me and you don’t have plans for Halloween, Cartoon Network will be airing all five iterations of “Terror Tales of the Park” starting @ 6:30 pm ET, so now you have plans.
I hope the Cartoon Network primetime slots return. I miss the days when original programming used to live in those slots and not just reruns of King of the Hill. Cartoon Network has since, more or less, allowed Disney XD the opportunity to pretty much build original programming lineups almost every single night of the week leaving little room for Cartoon Network to compete there. Nickelodeon has been toying with the Friday Night lineup, but that may have been more of a test, because it doesn’t appear to be returning anytime soon.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
