Help Fund This ‘Simpsons’ Director’s Animated Food Truck Series
If there are two things I (and any other red-blooded Americans) love, it’s cartoons and food trucks. So imagine my delight when I found out that a former director of The Simpsons and Family Guy, Gabriel DeFrancesco, created a show that combines the two. And like most mobile restaurants, all it needs is a little startup cash.
Chow-Fuhn is described as “the first ever animated ‘Sci-Foodieomedy’ series (Science Fiction, Foodie, Comedy)” and it stars comedians Margaret Cho, Bobby Lee, and Jon Lovitz.
It revolves around the competitive and cutthroat world of food trucks, and the rivalry between Colonel Chow (Lee) and his arch enemy, Gerhard Fuhn (Lovitz). The Colonel’s daughter and sous chef, Mimi (Cho), is along to help out as well.
A lot more details on the origin and premise of the show can be found on its Kickstarter page, which offers a smorgasbord of tasty donation rewards like t-shirts, chopsticks, and bottles of hot sauce, and also breaks down exactly how much money they need and where it will go.
Take a look at the page and its audio clips and sketches, and consider donating a bit toward the cause. The cost of your next food truck meal could make all the difference!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
