‘Simpsons’-Inspired Australian Band Declares War on Okilly Dokilly

Last week we brought you a story about Okilly Dokilly, the Ned Flanders-themed metal (or “Nedal”) band from Arizona, and praised their Simpsons-related moniker and songs.

An Australian group named Dr. Colossus took exception to this praise, as their name is also derived from a Simpsons episode, and now we’ve got ourselves a good old fashioned throw-down.

The Aussie doom rockers recently penned a track called “Stupid Sexy Flanders.” and although they claim it isn’t aimed at the band whom we’ve deemed their rivals in an effort to stoke the fire, we should all pretend it is. You know, for funzies.

“It is purely coincidental this has been released only days after a Ned Flanders themed band decided to destroy the internet. Probably…” Dr. Colossus posted on Facebook.

Clearly this is just a ruse to get Okilly Dokilly to drop their guard prior to a surprise attack, and considering the fact that OD hasn’t responded yet, we can only assume they are fortifying their defenses as we speak…or playing music…or maybe they just haven’t heard of the beef just yet.

But like an over-flipped meat patty at a BBQ, it’s only a matter of time before it gets rubbed in their faces.
